The Holy Spirit Renewal Center is a project sponsored by Open Arms Community of
El Paso, a 501-c-3 Catholic organization incorporated in the State of Texas,
and submitted to the spiritual authority of the Bishop of El Paso.

In the Year 2000, Open Arms mortgaged their present Center to buy 15 acres of property next door. Participation and input from other renewal groups was sought. In 2004, a service committee was formed to seek God's will for this land. Since then, the vision of a Retreat House and Renewal Center has developed and grown. For a long time, many groups in El Paso have been talking about the need for this kind of facility which will benefit many in our area. The idea of a Catholic Adult Day Care Center was added as initial planning began. We believe God has called us to make this vision a reality. The Holy Spirit Retreat House and Renewal Center will be located at 8240 North Loop Drive. This property was once the site of a drive-in theater. The idea of ransoming this land to build something beautiful for God is exciting!
